3 and 4 Year Olds

Your child is entitled to 15 hours free entitlement for 38 weeks per year, or if your child attends less than 15 hours per week, this can be spread across 51 weeks per year (up to a maximum of 570 hours per year). In Leeds and Bradford you can take a minimum of three hours and a maximum of six hours per day of free early learning. This applies until they reach compulsory school age (the term following their fifth birthday). All funding is paid directly to the childcare setting.

To claim the entitlement if you are not currently using Jellytots, you need to put your child’s name down for a place as early as possible as we may have waiting lists. If your child is currently at Jellytots we will be aware that your child is approaching 3 years old. You will be asked to fill out a form before each term for the nursery to process payments.

If your child is attending more than 15 hours per week, we will deduct the free entitlement from your fees which will show on your invoices.

If your child only attends the 15 hours per week across 38 weeks or less than 15 hours across 51 weeks then you will not have to pay a penny to Jellytots.

When can my child start?

Your child becomes eligible for a free place from the start of the school term following their third birthday and is entitled to it until school age.
